Neurology professor Peter Whitehouse will provide insight into the role of neuroscience and cognitive science in creating collective wisdom today from 4 to 5 p.m. in Crawford Hall 618 with his talk, “A neurosceptical and intergenerative view of the cognitive science of brain health.”
This lecture will address ideas of brain health, the problems of overmedicalizing aging and the need for integrating the arts and humanities in our thinking about cognitive functioning. During the lecture, Whitehouse will look at The Intergenerational School and other innovative learning approaches as well as deep and broad approaches to so-called “brain health.”
