Now in its second year, the Case Western Reserve University STEM Faculty Journal Club is focused on increasing recruitment and retention of historically disenfranchised populations in STEM disciplines.
In alignment with Pathway 4 of the university’s strategic plan, Think Big, these monthly meetings will focus on readings about best practices and research on faculty recruitment and mentoring, as well as other related topics that will engage attendees in discussion about the reading.
The first meeting will take place Thursday, Jan. 20, from noon to 1 p.m. and will be hosted by the School of Medicine. Future meeting dates for the spring 2022 semester are below:
- Feb. 10: Hosted by the Case School of Engineering
- Mar. 24: Hosted by the College of Arts & Sciences
- Apr. 14: Hosted by the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing
