The terms diversity, equity and inclusion seem to appear everywhere in higher education discourse, and yet there seems to be little agreement on what they actually mean in the contexts of teaching and learning. Join the University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education (UCITE) to explore impactful changes that instructors can make in their classrooms to broaden all students’ access to inclusive learning—learning relevant to students and to their experiences.
This UCITE First Fridays event, titled “Integrating Diversity, Equity and Inclusion in CWRU Classrooms—Connecting with Students,” will be held Friday, Nov. 5, from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the Allen Memorial Medical Library’s Herrick Room.
Teaching faculty and staff, teaching assistants and graduate students interested in pursuing a teaching career in higher education are invited to attend this session. Colleagues are encouraged to bring ideas they have or examples of what they are already doing to create more inclusive learning environments.
