Case Western Reserve University is a member of the National Center for Faculty Development and Diversity (NCFDD). Faculty members are invited to use this service.
The NCFDD is an independent professional development center that works with educational institutions and other organizations to enhance productivity, work satisfaction and collegiate support across campuses. The NCFDD is especially recognized for its Faculty Success Program (FSP) and campus workshops.
Institutional membership at the NCFDD offers a variety of webinars, course recordings and writing challenges to graduate students, faculty and staff. Through the NCFDD, CWRU faculty and graduate students can take advantage of a variety of educational deliverables, such as monthly core curriculum webinars, multi-week skill-building workshops, the dissertation success curriculum, and more.
The NCFDD’s campus workshops, offered both virtually and in-person, are taught by certified campus workshop facilitators and focus on academic writing, mentoring and time management.
For newly tenured faculty, the NCFDD offers its Post-Tenure Pathfinders program, a 12-week virtual course about planning future directions and building a strong support network.
