Suicide risk can help us understand school shootings
CNN: There is no distinct profile of school shooters, but lessons can be learned through the study of suicide risk, Daniel Flannery, director of the Begun Center for Violence Prevention, Research and Education, wrote in an op-ed. “Developing a good model for assessing the risk of suicide can provide a framework for how to assess the seriousness of threats to commit acts of violence toward others.”
