In the next UCITE session, “All’s well that starts well,” faculty members will discuss how to get their courses off to a good start.
Faculty who get their courses off to a good start find that they have a much more satisfying teaching experience, while those who don’t can find all manner of problems appearing as the semester wears on, which is often blamed on having an unfortunate mix of students. But good starts don’t simply happen. They have to be planned carefully and implemented thoughtfully.
To learn what makes for a good start, attend the discussion July 28 from noon to 1 p.m. in the Herrick Room on the ground floor of the Allen Building. Pizza and sodas will be provided; RSVP to ucite@case.edu.
