The CWRU Film Society invites members of the Case Western Reserve University community and general public to join in viewing the comedy thriller that clinched five Oscar nominations, including a win for Best Original Screenplay: Promising Young Woman. A 2020 must-see, this female-directed movie also features the acting talents of Laverne Cox and Bo Burnham.
Showings will take place at 7 p.m., 9:30 p.m. and midnight, Friday, Sept. 3, in Strosacker Auditorium. Register for tickets ($4) in advance via CWRU Film Society’s CampusGroups page. Masking is mandatory for all attendees.

Synopsis
Carey Mulligan stars as a med school dropout who spends her nights feigning drunkenness at bars, enticing men to take her home, and confronting them when they try to abuse her without consent.
