Brain Gran, professor of sociology, recently gave a lecture to the U.S. National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine as part of the Jefferson Science Fellowship Distinguished Lecture series.
The lecture, titled “Rights and Reintegration of Family Members of Foreign Terrorist Fighters,” is based on work Gran is conducting on “reintegration” of people living in the Al-Hol and Al-Roj camps into their home societies for the U.S. State Department’s Office of Countering Violent Extremism.
