Umut A. Gurkan, the Warren E. Rupp Associate Professor at Case School of Engineering, was recently invited to serve on the National Institutes of Health’s federal advisory committee, titled “Instrumentation and Systems Development Study Section (ISD).” He will serve a four-year term from 2021 to 2025.
Gurkan was nominated internally at National Institutes of Health by scientific officers. As part of the committee, Gurkan will participate in at least three meetings a year in Washington, D.C.
