Newburgh Heights mayor stands by COVID-19 vaccine requirement for city employees
WEWS, ABC Cleveland: Sharona Hoffman, the Edgar A. Hahn Professor of Law and co-director of the Law-Medicine Center, said vaccine mandates are legal for employers because the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the agency that handles anti-discrimination laws agree. “Employers do however have to make exceptions for people who have medical or religious reasons not to get a vaccine,” she said. “So those people have to be accommodated if at all possible.”
