Rachel Lovell, a research assistant professor with the Begun Center for Violence Prevention Research and Education at the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences, and Mendel Singer, associate professor at the School of Medicine, teamed up to write a piece for cleveland.com.
Their piece, titled “Testing rape kits isn’t enough. Reinvestigating can prevent future rapes and save money,” detailed the need to consider how investigations have the potential to prevent future rapes.
They also demonstrated how the cost of pursuing these cases is a worthwhile investment.
