Members of the Case Western Reserve University community are invited to join Kelvin Smith Library for a webinar titled “Open Access Publishing in the Nature Portfolio” Thursday, June 3, at 4 p.m.
This presentation will help demystify the journal publishing landscape with a particular focus on the various open access publishing models. Brooke LaFlamme, chief editor of the journal Communications Biology will introduce the Nature portfolio of journals and open access options available to authors, along with tips on choosing the best journal for research. She also will discuss best practices in open research and provide an overview of how editors select papers for peer review, the editor’s role in the publication process, and what you should expect of a reputable and high-quality publisher.
