Joe Mandato (MGT ’04), a member of the Case Western Reserve University Board of Trustees, wrote an article titled “Emergency: How The COVID-19 Disruption Can Lead To Better Healthcare, If We Want It To,” which was published in The Social Impact Review, a publication of the Harvard Advanced Leadership Initiative.
His piece described how health care leaders have an unprecedented opportunity and obligation to provide a post-pandemic version of the Marshall Plan. Mandato advocated that the plan should rally around one theme, a vastly improved patient experience, such as a focus on emphasizing care.
Ultimately, Mandato offered five points for improving health care delivery as the world emerges from the pandemic.
