Mark your calendars for “Cultivating Your Scientific Presentation Skills” Friday, April 2, from noon to 1:30 p.m. Attendees will learn how to successfully report on their research findings at conferences, universities and other locations in a variety of formats: in-person posters, presentations and online. This session covers the benefits of presenting or giving a poster and general preparation, including the importance of understanding your audience, developing your story, design recommendations and online presentations.
The tips provided will position researchers to envision, structure, create and present scientific findings successfully. Topics will be pulled from the following chapters in the ACS Guide to Scholarly Communication: 1.7 Poster Presentations and 1.8 Oral Presentations (published 3/15/21).
Sara Tenney, a publisher with the American Chemical Society, will be the speaker at this event.
Registration is required for this free event, which is presented by Kelvin Smith Library as part of its webinar series on getting published.
