The Flora Stone Mather Center for Women has many opportunities coming up this spring for undergraduate students, faculty and staff. Application deadlines for the following programs are in April and May.
Two information sessions will be held for those who have questions about any of these programs or their application processes. The sessions will be held:
- March 26 from noon to 12:30 p.m.; and
- April 8 from noon to 12:30 p.m.

Women Faculty Leadership Development Institute’s “What’s Next?” workshop
Applications due by April 15
The Women Faculty Leadership Development Institute’s (WFLDI) “What’s Next?” workshop is targeted at tenured mid-career women-aligned faculty who are interested in focusing on their career vision and path and enhancing their formal or informal leadership within their academic unit and discipline/profession.

PRISE Entrepreneurship Program for Undergraduate Students
Application due by April 23
PRISE (Program Rewarding Innovation in STEM Entrepreneurship) is a cohort-based entrepreneurship program for women-aligned undergraduate students to develop STEM-based solutions to a problem they identify. Students who are selected will receive a $1,000 stipend, as well as ongoing mentor support throughout the year-long program, and workshops around a variety of topics relating to entrepreneurship.
To qualify, students must be a woman-aligned undergraduate student at CWRU who has roughly 2.5 hours a week to dedicate to PRISE. Students do not need to be a STEM major or minor to apply.
Women Staff Leadership Development Institute
Application due by May 30
WSLDI is an 80-hour year-long cohort program offering women-aligned staff members an opportunity to enhance and energize leadership and career development skills through a 360-degree assessment of leadership competencies, Weatherhead Leadership and Management Certificate, one-on-one coaching and the building of professional networks.
