Get tips on publishing scientific articles during Nov. 30 workshop with leading publisher

Kelvin Smith Library will host an author workshop Nov. 30 with Elizabeth Perill on “How to Get Your Article Published.” Perill, publisher of life sciences at Elsevier, will discuss the best way to structure a scientific paper, how to identify the most appropriate journal and tips for understanding the peer review process.

At this workshop, attendees will learn from the world’s leading publisher of science, technology and health science journals on:

  • Steps to take before writing a paper
  • How to develop and submit a manuscript
  • What editors and publishers are looking for

Sensitive areas such as publishing ethics, plagiarism and duplicate publishing will also be addressed.

The talk will be held Friday, Nov. 30, from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in Wickenden 322. Refreshments will begin at noon.
