Case Western Reserve University will test its outdoor emergency notification speakers Thursday, Jan. 21, at 9 a.m. This test is being done before move-in and while many employees are working remotely to minimize the impact on individuals.
The message on the outdoor speakers will include the word “test.” In the event that an actual emergency happens at that time, the message will not say “test” and recipients should follow the instructions provided.
Rave, which sends messages via email, text, voice, social media, the Guardian app and websites, will not be tested at this time. However, members of the campus community are also encouraged to make sure their contact information is correct in the university’s emergency notification system. Visit getrave.com, enter the name “Case Western Reserve University,” and then follow the site’s prompts.
