Find out what’s at stake this election regarding health care policy with a virtual panel discussion titled “Election 2020: The Future of Healthcare Policy” hosted by the Weatherhead School of Management Thursday, Oct. 22, from 7 to 8:30 p.m. ET.
As health care remains a hot topic in the upcoming election, the CWRU community is invited to tune into “Election 2020: The Future of Healthcare Policy” to learn what factors to consider before voting. Featuring several health care policy experts, the panel will discuss some of the biggest healthcare issues on the ballot while creating a space for all to share, learn and grow. The experts will break down topics such as the future of the Affordable Care Act, pharma price regulations, the impacts of COVID-19 and more. There will be a Q&A session following the discussion.
Mark Votruba, associate professor at Weatherhead School of Management, will moderate the discussion. Panelists will be:
- David M. Cutler, the Otto Eckstein Professor of Applied Economics at Harvard University;
- Glen P. Mays, professor and department chair at Colorado School of Public Health and director of Systems for Action Research; and
- Joseph Antos, the Wilson H. Taylor Scholar in Health Care and Retirement Policy at American Enterprise Institute and vice-chair of the Maryland Health Services Cost Review Commission.
