cleveland.com: Hayley Devine, a fourth-year nursing student at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, won a $5,000 first prize to develop her invention of a device—similar to a remote control and allowing patients to press buttons to notify staff if they are having an emergency, need to use the bathroom, require a nurse or have other needs—that will help non-verbal patients communicate with staff.
