Medical student Ellen Kendall received the Hematology Opportunities for the Next Generation of Research Scientists (HONORS) Award from the American Society of Hematology.
The honor, which includes a $5,000 award, goes to 30 medical students and residents who have an interest in hematology, but are not yet in a training program in the field. Recipients also receive a $1,000 travel allowance each year for students to attend the American Society of Hematology’s annual meeting.
