Pranjal Vaidya, a PhD student in biomedical engineering and at the Center for Computational Imaging and Personalized Diagnostics, was awarded the ACM SIGHPC Computational & Data Science Fellowship.
This fellowship program targets women or students from racial or ethnic backgrounds that have not traditionally been represented in computing. It seeks to increase the diversity of those pursuing graduate degrees in data and computational science.
The award includes $15,000 to support Pranjal toward the completion of her PhD.
Vaidya is mentored by Anant Madabhushi, the F. Alex Nason Professor II of Biomedical Engineering.
