The CWRU Student Run Health Clinic, a student organization jointly run by students from the School of Medicine, Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, and the Jack, Joseph and Morton Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences to provide free acute healthcare to underserved populations within the Greater Cleveland community, is launching Justice in July, a fundraiser supporting the Ohio Alliance to End Sexual Violence and the Tamir Rice Legacy Fund established through the Cleveland Foundation. Donations up to $5000 will be matched by the SRHC. Donations can be made online throughout the month of July.
OAESV is a statewide coalition to ensure that the State of Ohio will be free of sexual violence. OAESV advocates for comprehensive responses and rape crisis services for survivors and empowers communities to prevent sexual violence.
The Tamir Rice Legacy Fund is an endowed fund through the Cleveland Foundation that supports the Tamir Rice Foundation. The Tamir Rice Foundation invests in the growth and enrichment of all children through after-school programs in arts and culture by allowing them to express their truth to improve their lives as they grow into young adults. The Tamir Rice Foundation also seeks to advocate for police reform by advocating to change laws and implement new policies for the system with community oversight for police accountability and community reform dialogue.
