Children develop anxiety disorders
The Columbus Dispatch: Psychology faculty members Amy Przeworski and Rebecca Hazen will present this week at the annual Children’s Mental Health Conference in Columbus, as they try to help families learn about anxiety-spectrum disorders, which affect about one in eight children at some point in their lives. “Parents hear about autism, and they hear about ADHD a lot more,” Przeworski said. “Anxiety disorders are the things that are often overlooked, and they’re actually incredibly common.”
