Members of the Case Western Reserve University are invited to participate in CaseCores2020 today (April 28) to learn about core facilities and research infrastructure. This online program will be from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m.; individuals can tune in as they wish.
The event will embrace the symposium’s original theme: “Stronger Together.”
Building on the first pillar of the university’s Strategic Plan, “Ignite Interdisciplinarity,” the program will feature a three-part presentation by:
- Tim Beal, chair of the Department of Religious Studies and Florence Harkness Professor of Religion;
- Burcu Gurkan, assistant professor of chemical engineering; and
- Curtis Tatsuoka, associate professor of neurology.
The presenters will discuss their research and the role of research infrastructure in their work, followed by a moderated discussion.
Core facility managers, directors and administrators will also share content. This seminar will be the first in a summer-long series about core facility management and best practices.
