The COVID-19 crisis has put a great deal of strain on members of the university community as they juggle taxing schedules and a rapid transition to working from home and remote instruction. What does it mean to lead within this context, no matter where you sit in the organization? Managing new styles of teaching, learning, research, writing practices, and the realities of working from home have proved to be a herculean task for many, often challenging not just ourselves, but how we lead our teams.
Join the Office of the Provost and Academic Impressions on Wednesday, April 13, from 10-11 a.m. to learn about leading, managing stress and maintaining the Agora in these difficult times. You’ll hear about topics like:
- Maintaining teams and leading from a distance
- Embracing university culture from afar
- Developing strategies for managing the stress of working from home
- Best practices for playing the “long game” and keeping perspective as a leader
- Managing feelings of overwhelm and stress, and avoiding burnout, in both yourself and your teams
The event will be held on Zoom. To register and get the Zoom link, RVSP on CampusGroups.
