Cleveland.com: Shanina Knighton, a clinical nurse scientist and infection preventionist at the Frances Payne Bolton School of Nursing, gave thoughts on overlooked aspects of eliminating contact between customers of eateries and the workers who prepare the food: “Go to a drive-thru at a Wendy’s or McDonald’s and you’re going to notice that someone has on the same pair of gloves as they’re passing out food and they’re passing out money, but there’s no change in those gloves,” she said. “Our hands and our money or plastic has to come in contact with those gloves.”
