Cases of “Zoombombing” have been reported in meetings hosted by members of the Case Western Reserve University community. “Zoombombing” is when a malicious individual finds an open Zoom meeting link and enters the meeting to disrupt it verbally or by sharing inappropriate material.
There are simple actions you can take to protect your meetings. The most important is to never publish your meeting links or IDs on a public website or social media. As an additional precaution, at the recommendation of Zoom, starting Wednesday, April 1, [U]Tech will only allow meeting hosts to share content.
