Gloria Tavera, a student in the Medical Scientist Training Program in the School of Medicine, has been awarded a 2020 Kaiser Permanente Medical Student Scholarship, in recognition of commitment to supporting under-served communities.
The scholarship award totals $5,000.
Recipients are honored at an awards banquet on Saturday, September 12, 2020, in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a travel stipend to assist in attendance to the event. Recipients are encouraged to complete a one-month elective at a Kaiser Northern California facility.
