Each year, Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine students—and other medical students across the country—celebrate Match Day, where they learn in which U.S. residency program they’ll train the next three to seven years.
Typically, Match Day is a large celebration, with students’ families and loved ones from around the world coming to campus to share in the excitement. But given today’s less-than-typical situation, no large events can take place. Instead, students will find out their matches individually—but remarks from school leadership will be live-streamed Friday, March 20, at case.edu/livestream/matchday.
School leadership will begin their remarks around 11:30 a.m.; students will receive their results via email at noon.
Because students can’t be together, the School of Medicine is encouraging all students and family members to share photos and video by using #CWRUMatchDay2020 and tagging the school’s social media accounts:
- Twitter: @CWRUSOM
- Facebook: @cwrusom
- Instagram: @cwru_med
Members of the campus community are encouraged to follow the exciting news via social media and share their support of Case Western Reserve’s medical students.
