The Mandel School of Applied Social Sciences will be part of the Watermarks 2012 art exhibition tour Oct. 17-20.
The Morgan Art of Papermaking Conservatory and Educational Foundation, an Ohio nonprofit art center dedicated to the preservation of handmade papermaking, will be hosting the Watermarks 2012 conference at its office in Cleveland. More than 300 artists, educators and members of the International Association of Hand Papermakers and Artists (IAPMA) will be participating.
The conference will include papermaking demonstrations, lectures, exhibitions and museum tours all around the city. More than 15 art exhibitions are being launched at area nonprofits, galleries and colleges, including the Mandel School. Watermarks 2012 will coincide with Octavofest, a month-long celebration of paper and book arts. In addition to the paper exhibitions, many libraries, colleges and nonprofits throughout the area—including Kelvin Smith Library—will offer special events during the month of October.
Works from artists Paula Zinsmeister and Pamela Mckee will be on display at the Mandel School Oct. 17–20.
