The upcoming Frontiers in Biological Sciences lecture, titled “Health Impacts of Natural Gas Development,” will be presented by Karen Mulloy, director of Denver Health Center for Occupational Safety and Health and associate professor in the Department of Environmental and Occupational Health at Colorado School of Public Health.
As an occupational/environmental physician, Mulloy has intimate knowledge of the health problems that arise in both workers and the public related to the gas and oil drilling industry, including the use of fracking techniques.
The lecture will be held Oct. 17 at 4 p.m. in Robbins Building E-301, with a reception to follow in T-503.
