The Center for Civic Engagement & Learning invites students to join this free, off-campus excursion to experience the history of May 4, 1970, at Kent State University. Take a guided tour of the visitors center to learn the history and national impact of the day when four Kent State University students were shot and killed on campus by the Ohio National Guard while protesting the Vietnam War.
The excursion will depart from the Center for Civic Engagement & Learning office in Suite 165 of the Tinkham Veale University Center, at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 15. The group will return to campus by 5 p.m. Transportation is provided.
