Kelvin Smith Library offers services, opportunities to de-stress during finals

Kelvin Smith Library will have several offerings to help students relax and focus on finals.

Services

Cramelot Cafe will be open with extended hours today (Dec. 9) though Wednesday, Dec. 11. The cafe’s hours will be from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. on those days.

Students can take advantage of additional study spaces during finals, with LL06 A and B in the library open for 24/7 quiet study beginning today (Dec. 9) through the end of finals.

Opportunities to de-stress

Therapy dogs also will be in the library today (Dec. 9), Dec. 10 and Dec. 13. Announcements will be made in the building when the dogs arrive.

Kelvin Smith Library also is partnering with University Health & Counseling Services to help students relax and recharge. Today, students can get massages, food and smoothies and paint their own rocks from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Dampeer Room on the second floor. Then, on Tuesday, Dec. 10, there will be healthy snacks, card-making and rock-painting from 3 to 4 p.m. in the Dampeer Room.

The library will set up a stress-free zone on the first floor for students to take a break from studying to play games, work on puzzles, color, and make and display a snowflake.
