The Department of Human Resources Professional Development Center, in collaboration with the Division of Public Safety, invites all individuals who coordinate events to learn about how to prepare for and react to a potential safety threat at an event. This session, titled “Safety and Response at University Special Events,” is scheduled for Friday, Nov. 22, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Crawford Hall, Room A13 (on the ground floor).
Sergeant Paul Owens will give a talk on safe evacuations practices during an event and what actions an event coordinator can take during a potential threat, followed by a demonstration. A Q&A session and discussion will follow the talk. Refreshments will be served.
