Considering taking a gap year after graduation to research, scribe, serve or intern before graduate school or entering the workforce? Come to “Keys to a Successful Gap Year” Monday, Nov. 25, from 5:30 to 7 p.m. in Tinkham Veale University Center, Ballroom A.
Participants will hear from Post-Graduate Planning & Experiential Education about finding gap year opportunities and tips for applying to graduate school, and have a chance to network with popular gap year providers and advisors to learn more about their programs and suggestions.
Gap year experts attending include:
- ScribeAmerica;
- CWRU’s Support of Undergraduate Research and Creative Endeavors (SOURCE);
- City Year;
- Peace Corps;
- Summer on the Cuyahoga;
- Teach For America;
- College Now Greater Cleveland; and
- Citizenship Health Institute.
Attendees who stay for the full event will be entered into a raffle to have their graduate school exam fees or test prep books paid for.
The Upperclass Experience, Interfraternity Congress and Panhellenic Council, Center for Civic Engagement & Learning, and Post-Graduate Planning & Experiential Education will sponsor this event.
Fajita dinner will be provided.
