“Revision Reality Check for Novelists”

The Case Western Reserve University Writers House will host “Revision Reality Check for Novelists,” a workshop with Laura Maylene Walter, a writer in Cleveland.

The workshop will be held Saturday, Oct. 5, from 1 to 3:30 p.m. in Bellflower Hall, Room 102. It is limited to 20 participants. Individuals must pre-register by emailing writershouse@case.edu. Individuals can send a one-page description of their novel by email.

About the presenter

Her work has appeared in the Kenyon Review, Poets & Writers, The Sun, Chicago Tribune, Ninth Letter, Michigan Quarterly Review and many other publications. She is the author of the story collection Living Arrangements (BkMk Press), which won the G.S. Sharat Chandra Prize and a national gold IPPY. She has been a Yaddo Fellow, a Tin House Scholar and a writer-in-residence at the Chautauqua Institution and Art Omi: Writers.

She is editor-in-chief of Gordon Square Review, blogs for the Kenyon Review and teaches writing workshops in Cleveland. She is in the final revision stages for her novel, a project seven years in the making.
