3 things to do in Cleveland in April

Spring break has come and gone, and members of the Case Western Reserve University community now are looking ahead to the end of the academic year. While the semester’s end often brings about feelings of excitement, stress about final grades, internships, job searches and end-of-year work also can take hold.

To help our students, faculty and staff unwind, we’ve gathered a sample of events in Cleveland that can help them take a break. Want to find more events in Cleveland? Check the Destination Cleveland website.

“One Year Until the Eclipse”

April 7–9

Next year, on April 8, 2024, Cleveland is in for an astronomical treat: a total eclipse of the sun. Our city will be in the path of totality, and to prepare locals for this special occasion, the Cleveland Museum of Natural History has put together a weekend of programming. From Friday, April 7, to Sunday, April 9, members of the community can visit the museum for eclipse-themed planetarium shows.

The shows are included with the regular cost of admission to the museum. Case Western Reserve University students receive free admission with their CWRU ID through the Free Access Program.

Cleveland Taco Week 2023

April 10–16

Indulge in some of your local favorites or try something new during the fourth annual Cleveland Taco Week. This year, 30 restaurants will participate, including Barrio, Nuevo, Agave and Rye, and more. With their own spin on the dish, the restaurants will offer specials at $10 or less.

An app is available to map out your week and help you try as many restaurants as possible.
