Spring has sprung in Cleveland, so it’s time to switch out your winter coats with rain coats, open your windows and explore the outdoors again. There are plenty of opportunities to celebrate the coming of warm, sunny days around Cleveland. The Daily has pulled together some options for you.
Check out some ways you can enjoy the city’s offerings in April.
Mac ‘N’ Cheese Week
April 11-17
Mac ‘n’ cheese, the ultimate comfort food, deserves a week (if not more) of recognition. So in April, you’ll be able to pay homage to the cheesy, gooey treat as you explore Cleveland and try new restaurants. More than 20 restaurants will feature their own take on mac ‘n’ cheese, including 49th Street Tavern, All Saints Public House, Sol, Tavern of Little Italy, Market Garden and more. Each mac ‘n’ cheese dish will be $5.
Mark your calendars and find out how to get your fill.
Guardians Home Opener
April 15
Be there at Progressive Field when the Cleveland Guardians make their home debut on April 15 against the San Francisco Giants. It marks the first time the team plays a regular season game under its new moniker, the first time Cleveland has opened its home schedule against a National League opponent, and the first time since 1995 that the home opener will be played at night (excluding the 2020 pandemic shortened season). Tickets are $59 and up.
Bring out your new Guardians gear and grab your tickets.
Earth Day Clean Up
April 24
Join the Little Spark Refill Shop at Huntington Beach and help beautify Cleveland for Earth Day! A limited supply of gloves, buckets and pickers will be available, so make sure to bring your own if you have them. Lace up your close-toed shoes, and make sure to wear pants and a long-sleeve shirt to prevent poison ivy.
