2023 Stonum Writer-in-Residence events with Garth Greenwell

Case Western Reserve University’s Department of English will host award-winning author Garth Greenwell as the 2023 Stonum Writer-in-Residence.

Greenwell will present several events Feb. 14–17:

  • “Using Your Senses: A Generative Workshop”: Tuesday, Feb. 14, from 6 to 7:30 p.m. in Bellflower Hall (space is limited; email sxd290@case.edu to sign up)
  • “A Reading and Conversation”: Wednesday, Feb. 15, from 5 to 6:30 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library’s Freedman Center for Digital Scholarship
  • “From Small Rain: A Novel in Progress”: Friday, Feb. 17, from 3:15 to 4:15 p.m. in Guilford Hall parlor

About Greenwell

Greenwell is the author of What Belongs to You, which won the British Book Award for Debut of the Year and was a New York Times Book Review Editors’ Choice. His second collection of fiction, Cleanness, was published in January 2020. A finalist for the Lambda Literary Award, Cleanness was named a New York Times Notable Book of 2020, a New York Times Critics Top 10 book of the year, and a Best Book of the year by the New Yorker, TIME, NPR, BBC and more. It is being translated into eight languages. The recipient of honors including a 2020 Guggenheim Fellowship, Greenwell lives in New York and teaches at Princeton University.
