The men’s and women’s basketball teams will face off against University Athletic Association competition for the 12th annual Throwback Weekend. Games will be played Friday, Jan. 27, and Sunday, Jan. 29, at the historic Adelbert Gymnasium.
On Friday night, Case Western Reserve will play host to the University of Chicago, with the women tipping off at 6 p.m., followed by the men at 8 p.m. On Sunday, the Spartan men will take on the eighth-rankedvWashington University in St. Louis Bears at noon, followed by the women facing the 11th-ranked Washington University squad at 2 p.m.
The men’s team will don the uniforms commemorating Western Reserve University (Red Cats) and the Case Institute of Technology (Rough Riders). The women’s team will sport uniforms in honor of Flora Stone Mather College for Women.
