The Windows 8 Enterprise upgrade is available now on the Software Center (softwarecenter.case.edu) as a free download to Case Western Reserve University students, faculty and staff using Windows computers or partitions.
This latest version of the Windows operating system notably includes a tile-based user interface in addition to the traditional Windows desktop. It is compatible with the latest versions of Symantec Endpoint Protection and AnyConnect, the campus VPN client, both available on the Software Center. Download Windows 8 now.
The software is distributed in an ISO image format. In order to use it, you must be able to burn a DVD from the ISO image file or mount the ISO image on a virtual drive. ISO burning capability is standard on Windows 7 but is not standard on the Windows XP or earlier operating systems, which require third-party ISO burning software.
