Wellness ambassador meeting

Students can learn how to become a University Health & Counseling Services (UHCS) wellness ambassador during an upcoming information session. Those interested can learn how to become part of building a healthier campus. Wellness ambassadors serve as an extension of the UCHS Wellness Program to assist with promoting and encouraging participation in wellness activities across campus.

The information session and meeting will take place Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 1 to 2 p.m. in Kelvin Smith Library, Room 215.

Responsibilities of wellness ambassadors include:

  • Actively promoting Wellness Program offerings to your student groups, residence hall floors and departmental colleagues during meetings or by posting fliers, word of mouth or sending provided emails
  • Acting as role models for the wellness initiative by practicing healthy behaviors and participating in wellness program offerings
  • Assisting in building a healthy campus by developing and implementing wellness initiatives and events on campus
  • Helping to improve the wellness program by providing continuous feedback to the UHCS Wellness Program

A wellness ambassador is a voluntary role and is done in addition to other current responsibilities and course work, taking anywhere from one to two hours a month over the course of a year.

All CWRU, Cleveland Institute of Music and Cleveland Institute of Art undergraduate, graduate and professional students can serve as wellness ambassadors.

Those unable to attend but interested in becoming a wellness ambassador should email Melissa Hendricks at mxh765@case.edu.
