Welcome to CWRU: Expect crowds this week as more than 600 prospective students visit

Last summer The Huffington Post named Case Western Reserve one of the nation’s nine “trendiest” colleges.

This winter the site reported we were among the top 15 universities where “geek is chic.”

Now that it’s spring, it seems that those seeds are starting to bloom—in the form of legions of students coming to campus for admissions open houses.

This Thursday and Friday, Case Western Reserve will welcome more than 600 prospective undergraduate students and their families. And, as pleased as we are to be on people’s must-visit lists, we also recognize that popularity has a price: the rest of our community can expect lines for parking, coffee, meals and more. Please plan accordingly and, of course, put on your most warm and welcoming smiles. Who knows? One of these young people could be the next Tinkham Veale, or Paul Buchheit, or another graduate who shows yet another way that we think beyond the possible.

The university administration thanks you in advance for your patience.
