Students pose for photo with Tanzanians while on a trip for Managing in a Global Economy course

Video: Management and engineering students collaborate for social good in Tanzania

Weatherhead School of Management’s MGMT 460 strays a bit from the standard business school course.

For one thing, most of it took place in Tanzania.

For another, enrollment was nearly half engineers.

And the syllabus included everything from visiting a global company with $58 billion in annual revenue to visiting an island where students learned by the light of oil lamps—at least until this year.

Ultimately, words can’t fully convey the experience of Managing in a Global Economy, a course co-taught by Weatherhead School assistant professor Michael Goldberg and Chemical Engineering Department Chair Dan Lacks.

Fortunately, you can see for yourself in this video.
