University Technology to phase out use of Adobe Connect; complete survey on videoconferencing on campus

Adobe Connect is discontinuing support of Flash as its multimedia platform soon. As a result, Case Western Reserve University will phase out its use of Adobe Connect, as well as WebEx, GoToMeeting and other videoconferencing/online meeting platforms. These programs will be replaced by Zoom, with the transition to be completed by March 2019. Some departments and schools are already transitioning to Zoom due to this action.

CWRU community members who use either application can help drive this transition by taking a short survey (estimated completion time: five minutes or less). The survey will help University Technology ([U]Tech) gauge the number of Adobe Connect users, and the functions for which they use it, to ensure a successful transition to Zoom.

The survey is available online. Once users fill out the survey completely, they should click on the “Submit” button. Individuals will need to sign into their Google Suite account using their CWRU ID, if not already logged in.

If you have any questions about this survey or the transition to Zoom, contact the [U]Tech Service Desk at help@case.edu or 216.368.HELP (4357), or go to help.case.edu.
