Universities Allied for Essential Medicines: “Take Back Our Medicines” advocacy teach-in

Think that it’s time to take a stand against drug corporations that are profiteering?

Then join Universities Allied for Essential Medicines (UAEM) Sunday, Nov. 6, from noon to 4 p.m. in Robbins Building, Room E322 for the “Take Back Our Medicines” advocacy teach-in

Participants can discuss how they can participate in essential advocacy to “take back our meds” here in the U.S. and abroad. This event is co-hosted by the CWRU and Ohio State University UAEM chapters.

UAEM’s training will be an invaluable opportunity to learn how to inspire, educate, skills-build and mobilize students from a variety of disciplines to become part of a bigger movement and act on the access to medicines crisis at your university.

At the teach-in, you will have the opportunity to network, gain advocacy tools, expand your technical and academic knowledge of access to medicine issues, and build strategies for campaigning effectively on- and off- campus.

All students and young professionals in the area are welcome to attend and learn more about UAEM’s work as well as connect with a global health activist network.
