UCITE offers Spoken English seminar on culture and communication

The University Center for Innovation in Teaching and Education’s Spoken English Programs will offer a seminar in culture and communication beginning Sept. 14.

This free, six-week course on culture and communication allows students to learn more about American culture and compare cultures and experiences while also practicing spoken English and communication skills.

Topics often covered include:

  • Food;
  • Vocabulary and idioms;
  • Conversation techniques;
  • Holidays;
  • Sports; and
  • Events in the Cleveland area.

The seminar will be held from Fridays from Sept. 14 to Oct. 19 from 3 to 4 p.m.
