Technology management’s Joseph Jankowski discusses CWRU’s growing bioscience efforts

Northeast Ohio bioscience industry growing, adding jobs

The Plain Dealer: A new report found that Northeast Ohio’s emerging bioscience industry supports more than 21,000 jobs and receives large amounts of federal funding. Case Western Reserve received $175.9 million from the National Institute of Health, and Cleveland Clinic Lerner College of Medicine at Case Western Reserve received $80.7 million. The university “has stepped up commercialization,” said Joseph Jankowski, associate vice president of technology management. “We are doing well in funding and we have to find homes for those research projects.”
