Stop by Choices Fair this Friday to learn about degree programs, co-ops and more

The 2013 Choices Fair will take place Friday, Oct. 11, during Community Hour—12:30 to 1:45 p.m.—in the Veale Convocation, Athletic and Recreation Center.

This annual event, sponsored by the Office of Undergraduate Studies, provides students with the opportunity to learn about the variety of undergraduate majors, minors and degree programs through faculty and student representatives from every academic department.

Students also can find out about experiential learning opportunities such as study abroad, co-ops, undergraduate research, and academic and professional student organizations. All first-year students are expected to attend as part of their SAGES First Seminar, and undeclared upper-class students are strongly encouraged to attend as well.

Lunch will be provided by Bon Appetit Management Co. with a CWRU ID meal swipe.

The Choices Fair kicks off a number of information sessions and events hosted by academic departments throughout October and early November. These events are designed to help connect students with faculty and fellow students in their interested areas of study.

A full schedule of these events will be provided to students at the Choices Fair and advertised through various campus outlets, such as the Undergraduate Studies websiteThe Observer and the FYI newsletter.
