Startup Weekend Cleveland

The hardest part of starting up is starting out. At Startup Weekend Cleveland, you’ll be immersed in the ideal environment for startup magic to happen.

Startup Weekend Cleveland (Oct. 20-22) is a 54-hour event where attendees pitch ideas, form teams and start companies. It is a place for budding entrepreneurs to find co-founders, team members, mentors and momentum for their ideas.

In just 54 hours, beginning on Friday, Oct. 20, at 5:30 p.m., participants will experience the highs, lows, fun and pressure of a startup environment. They can compete for awards and network with Cleveland’s business, innovation and design community.

Participants will have 60 seconds to make a pitch if they’d like. The pitches will then be whittled down to the top ideas and teams form around these ideas to come out with several developed companies or projects.

The weekend culminates with presentations and demos in front of an audience of judges and potential investors.

A limited number of Case Western Reserve University, Cleveland Institute of Art and Cleveland Institute of Music students can attend Startup Weekend Cleveland free of charge—saving $75. Those selected also will receive food for the weekend, transportation to and from LaunchHouse, and more.
